FAN RPM problem
Hello, I have a problem with my Dell XPS 15 9500 laptop. It starts increasing the cooling fan speed too late. When monitoring the temperature with HWMonitor, it rises up to 100°C, and only after about five minutes does the fan speed begin to increase. Once the fans speed up, the temperature normalizes to around 50°C. BIOS updates do not help. Maybe someone has a solution to this problem? Thank you.

Has the system ever had a thorough internal cleaning along with replacement of the thermal pads? If not, that's long overdue.

@ejn63 Thank you, I will try to do that, because I especially notice this issue in the mornings.

Hello, I replaced the thermal paste and cleaned the system, although there was very little dust. The result has practically not changed — in the morning it overheats significantly, then stabilizes, but when under load, the temperature rises to 100°C (it doesn’t show more), and only after a few minutes the fan starts to speed up. It seems like the internal BIOS fan control has a very slow PID response.
