Headset Microphone does not work

Hi!   Problem: Headset microphone does not work since a recent update by Dell or Microsoft. Headset microphone works perfectly in other devices and computers. Earsbuds with microphone works. Headset: normal headset (Sennheiser) with a two cables for audio and mic that connects through two standard headphone/mic plugs to a one combined plug that goes into computer. All standard and original Sennheiser.  OS: Windows 10 Description: Problem started occuring some months ago. I have tried reinstalling audio drivers. No help. I have tried reinstalled Windows 10. This helped. After updating windows 10 and all Dell drivers now the problem is back.   UPDATE: I have ofc also removed and reinstalled MaxxWave. I tried this prior to reinstall. I also tried using a USB Audio Adapter, same problem.   Recap of problem: Arrival of my XPS (2019). Headeset mic works March 2020 (something) Headset mic stops working on XPS. Headset works in all other devices. Removal and reinstallation of audio and microphone device drivers + MaxxWave has no effect.  Reinstallation of Windows 10; Headset mic works again. 3-4 days later. Headset mic stops working again.   Thanks for any help on this.

Download Waves MaxxAudio Pro for Dell from Microsoft Store.Click on the playback icon (head facing left). Select output device to Headset, not Headphone

I have already tried to remove MaxxWave and reinstalled it. This did not help the problem.
