Laptop - power light flashes but no screen or boot - HELP
Hello, I have a XPS 13 9360 and it won't switch on anymore.
What happens...
- I press the power button and the laptop doesn't switch on or boot.
- The power light flashes on for about 1 second before going off.
- I noticed before this problem that the laptop was holding its charge for very little time and then almost refused to charge.
What I've tried:
- I've taken the battery out and just running off the AC power - the same problem occurs.
- I've done the screen test with the D key and the screen goes through the colours.
- I've also connected to an external monitor - still nothing happens.
I'm not sure what to do next...any ideas?

The mainboard needs to be replaced. Whether you want to do that on a system this old is up to you, but the boards are available with a 1-year warranty for under $200. If you can change the board yourself, that may make economic sense to you. If you have to pay for the labor to do the job, it'll add at least $100 to that and at that point, a system replacement may make more sense.
