Log on issues with Face recognition

I tried to login this morning using the usual face recognition.  For some reason it failed to recognise me and asked for my pin (which I don't seem to be able to recall).  Pin recovery requires account password which I am also having trouble with.  Neither option provides another way to access eg mobile text - at least that I can find.

I have shut down and started up but it still comes back to wanting pin access.  Any bright ideas for getting logged in so as a first step I can reset pin?
