Need help with RAM upgrade
I recently bought 2 sticks of RAM 2x16GB and went to upgrade my RAM in my Dell XPS 15 9550 laptop, sadly the RAM does not seem to be compatible here as the LED light at the front of the laptop started to flash amber and white. As soon as I installed the older RAM back in, it worked. Sad but true, I was looking forward to having 32GB in my laptop. Any recommendations on a good RAM that will work with the XPS 15 9550.
Has anyone tried Crucial RAM.

If you use Crucial's memory configurator, the memory is guaranteed to work, money-back.

@ejn63 Thanks, whats the configurator, I thought I just install it and my laptop should recognise it and it should work.

Go to the Crucial website and use your system model to select compatible RAM. Kingston has a similar tool. Others (Corsair, etc.) do not have compatibility testing.
