need to restart to get ethernet
I have an XP 15 with Win10, which just went past the warranty period. On two different networks I have the same problem: The laptop starts up fine, but shows "no network". When I restart the laptop, it works fine.
The two network connections are different:
On one I am connected to a docking station via the TB3 port, on the other network I have a Video/USB3/ETH adapter, also connected to the TB3 port, but the result is the same, which leads me to believe it is an issue with the laptop.
A "quick test" from the Dell website found no issues. Driver test shows that I have the latest drivers.
Has anybody seen similar issues, and is there a solution for it?

I have an old Dell Optiplex 9010 that I'm using as a home theater PC. It has an i7 processor, and I added 16gb of ram, installed Windows 10 on an SSD, and added an Nvidia GTX 1650 low profile video card. I was having the same issue as above. The ethernet driver for the on board network adapter would not load on a cold start. I had to restart the machine to get the wired internet connection to work. Since I stream my movies from a different computer on the same network, it was a hassle booting up and then restarting the computer every time I wanted to watch a movie. I searched for the solution online. I tried all sorts of stuff. I even reinstalled Windows 10 to no avail. I finally seem to have figured it out. I simply replaced the CMOS 2032 coin battery on the motherboard. So far, the ethernet driver is loading every time with no delay.
