With some more digging I've found that the IDLEDISABLE power setting is being changed. I can force change it and save it to the power plan, but that only temporary fixes the problem (essentially the same as clicking the restore power plan button). I'm not sure how I can force this setting to be unchangeable.
Hi, any updates on this? I am getting a similar issue, with CPU and Disc at 100%; usually at startup, but also on other odd occasions too. I have done a Win 10 re-install, booted in a clean boot environment, but the problem persists. Have tried searching, but no clear path to follow to investigate shows upI'll have a look at that capture cards point you made too (if i can find where these things are - I'm not a deeply tech user). Thanks and regards, Roger

Seemed to be a couple of capture card drivers that didn't like each other.
Had drivers for both a GV-USB2 and xcapture-1 installed. If I only have 1 of those installed at once then it's all good.
