No power flashing amber
- My xps 15 has these same symptom. Its less than 2 years old. It wont turn on. When i tried to reset the RTC I only got the flashing amber light. How do i get it working quickly?

Unplug the system, disconnect the battery from the system board and hold the power button for 30 sec.
Plug in the AC adapter (no battery). If the system will start up that way, it's most likely a dead battery.
If not, it's a dead system board that will need to be replaced. If you need a part reference, post the full model number (XPS 9530, 9560, etc.).
