Problem with INTEL and/or NVIDIA drivers

Recently I asked on the forum about issues with the 1.19.2 BIOS firmware. Apparently, after the update from 1.18 I got that the fans are always ON. Thanks to the help of a TechExpert a manage to downgrade to 1.18. But the issue remains. I realized that at the same time as the BIOS upgrade I also upgraded the INTEL video driver. I want to show you the following plot I produced just measuring the temperature of the (4 physical cores) CPU processor:

thermal.png

When I start (after a reboot or a suspend) I have 55 degrees (celsius) and the fans are always ON. Without any action, I have to work with fans ON and relatively high temperatures. In this plot, after 5 minutes, I disabled the NVIDIA Geforce gtx 1050 driver from the control panel. I got immediately 10 degres less and, mainly, the fans OFF. Then after another 5 minutes, I re-enabled the NVIDIA driver. It's quite surprising that the situation remains good (fans OFF, cold temperature) even if I start some simple stuff (Youtube... Chopin piano solo). After some time I also switched ON external fans pad (connected on external USB power), and probably I gain one additional degree or maybe two. If I start a quite heavy 3d application (SecondLife viewer) I got more than 80 degrees (FANS ON) for the whole duration of the application. After the end of the 3D application, I go back to normal conditions (FANS OFF and 45 degrees). Just to summarize: everything works fine if I disable and then re-enable the NVIDIA driver. Otherwise, I have the fans constantly ON.
My system is a XPS 15 9560, the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 driver version is 26.21.14.4270 and the INTEL video driver (HD Graphics 630) is 26.20.100.7986.

Do you have any suggestions on how to solve the problem?

I have the same 9560 XPS as you, and the same concerns.

a basic question first: why there is 2 nvidia drivers to download ?

- "NVIDIA GeForce/Quadro Series Graphics Driver", 07 May 2020, 26.21.14.4270, A21
- "NVIDIA Graphics Driver", 19 Aug 2020, 27.21.14.5167, A04

I'm on the "4270 A21" one, which has a long list of previous versions.
The "5167 A04" is newer, but no list of previous versions.

Dell update is now suggesting me the newer one. But why no history? Is this just a typo?
