random black screen with flashing boxes

A few days ago my computer was returned to me following some repairs. Since getting it back two times now it has frozen, the screen has gone black, and there were lots of flashing multicolored squares all over the screen (see photo).

I have to do a hard reset to make the computer unfreeze. There's been no similarity in what I'm doing the two times this has happened, making it seem completely random. I'm not sure what's going on and as it was just repaired I'm really hoping it isn't a hardware issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Run the LCD BIST:

To run the LCD BIST (Built in Self-test) first power off the computer.

Then while holding the 'D' key on the keyboard push the power button and then release both of them at the same time.

This will initiate a white screen, then red, then blue, then green then black, to determine if the video distortion issue is still present.

I'm wondering if this issue was ever resolved. I have a brand new (not even 60 days out of the box) Dell Inspiron 15 5000 and this just happened. There was a loud pop/scratch noise then the screen like you have in your image. I also had to do a hard reset. I'd hate to have to go thorugh the hassle of returning it for a refund.

Update = Uninstalling/reinstalling the Intel UHD driver has fixed the issue for me.
