Service tag isn't recognized by the system

A few months ago, I bought an XPS 15 7590, and recently I've been having some display issues (a LOT of bright pixels), so I've been meaning to contact dell support to get a replacement or repair. Whenever I go onto the website, however, my service tag is not found and because of this whenever I contact support I can never get past them asking for my service tag. Is there any way for me to get my tag working?

No, there is not.  Only the seller (or rather, the registered owner of the system) can assist.  If they will not or cannot, my suggestion would be to return the system for a refund.  Otherwise, you are the owner of an orphan, no-warranty system.

If the seller does not respond, is there any other way to get the tag working?

If the system was purchased at retail, you need to register it:

https://www.dell.com/support/Assets-Online/us/en/19/registration#/identifyservicetag

If it was purchased used, or through a non-authorized reseller (on EBay, an Amazon or Newegg storefront, etc.):  contact the seller to find out the system history, and why the service tag doesn't show up with Dell.
