Short performance drops XPS 9550
For a while I experiencing sudden performance drops. The drops are clearly visible when using a Wacom Pen. This cursor is very slow. After 15 seconds the performance is back to normal.
Currently I use the laptop with multiple displays and the Dell D6000 dock.
After some testing I figured out that the drops won't appear when I also using an external power source. In that case I don't use the power source (USB-C) from the dock. So the conclusion is that the sudden performance drops are caused by a low-power source.
When this happens there is no extra fan-speed or any other indication of overheating.
@AnonymousHow can I prevent the performance drops when using a low-power source?

Hi Fred 1986,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your system is not performing as you expected.
In researching this, I've found that other users have reported success by installing driver version 21.20.16.4590 from the Intel’s web site: Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows [15.45.14.4590]

Upgrading the driver won't work.
According to Intel's website this driver should work for the Intel Core i7-6700HQ and/or Intel HD Graphics 530 IGP. But when I install the drive I get the error below.
This will link to the following page: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005469/graphics-drivers.html
Other versions of the driver won't install either.
