Alright. After trying A LOT to solve this, some approaches I probably forgot but including altering bios settings, usb boot device, comability modes, command line operation and reading litterally every google hit there is on the subject, what has worked for me is to create a new admin account and use that to update. No problems with the 1.0.4 updater - did not bother with the 1.0.2.
We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Thanks dell, for no help at all on this.

Yes, and as the dell bot now figured out, I do not have warranty any more. So I am not entitled to working bug fixes?

Sorry to piggyback, but you mentioned using Two TB16. (I assume chained via USB-C)
Does that give you capability for 4 more monitors?
