Touchscreen stopped working - 2025
I'm going crazy without a touchscreen. That's why I bought this laptop. It was glitchy one day, and I noticed that things when I touched the screen, it activated something nearby. Then it stopped altogether. As in posts here from 2022 and 2023, the HID driver for the screen shows that the device is not working. Any other suggestions? I guess I could donate it and buy a new (non-Dell) laptop. I'm so disappointed in Dell, which had always been the workhorse brand I've depended on both personally and for my business operations.

It's impossible to answer without the system model information -- XPS 9330, etc.
Assuming it's out of warranty, the thing to do is check the connection between the display and the mainboard.
