Waves MaxxAudio Pro Playback Enhancements keeps turning on

Waves MaxxAudio Pro Playback Enhancements keeps turning on at seemingly random time on my XPS 15 9500, Windows 10 Home.

I keep turning them off, but they get back on at seemingly random times. They are most probable to turn back or after I connect or disconnect an audio device (like headphones or bluetooth speakers), and also after laptop restart, or even just log off. I didn't find a config file to hardcode them off. Also, I had 0 luck with installing other drivers (like Realtek HD Audio which I had on my other machines for ages) because Windows keep removing them on its own.

This is critical to me as I am musician and need to hear exactly what my composition is, without any enhancements (which seem to be reverb and stereo width). It really throws me off when I think my composition master sounds good when in fact it's enhancements and I need more work. I also completely dried out one project by reducing reverb and stereo width on every track, when in fact there were OK - and now I need to fine-tune it again.

Please help. It's a pricey machine and I expect it to work without this madness.

Kind regards,
Gary

Same issue for me! Every time I connect to my AirPods, it turns back on automatically. It's actually extremely annoying, and the sound effects with it turned on are horrifically bad. Did you ever find a solution to this?

Same issue. It looks like de application is updated frequently and also enables the spatial audio when updated.

I am trying to find a registry entry to disable this once and for all. Nobody absolutely nobody asked for this by default.
