Windows Hello Face Sign-In Interval

I'm an XPS 17 9700 running fully up to date Windows 10 Home with many bells and whistles like Support Assist.

Just so, before I begin to bother Dell support, may I ask the community whether anyone out there knows how to instruct the program to run the facial recognition sign in procedure for say, 10 seconds.

Because, right now, from sleep, the laptop looks for my face for like 2 seconds and apparently says to itself, get a life and asks for me for my Pin. Then, the ill-tempered thing yells at me for not using the program correctly.

I want to go all Al Pacino in that lawyer movie where's he's being so Al and screaming, No, you're out of order, you're out of order, at my laptop, or whatever, to force the  thing to give me more time to present my widdle face to the camera just so so that I can turn this thing on without getting in an argument. There has to be a way to do this. This thing is not a spouse.
