XPS 13 9300, black screen

Ok, so recently my laptop has been acting up. I was working on a project when it suddenly crashed on me. I have tried turning off and on many times. Every time I turn it on, keyboards light up but screen stays black. I had even disconnected the battery inside the laptop and restarted it but the problem is still there. When I open the laptop. It turns on by itself showing light up keyboard but balck screen. What can I do to fix?

Start by unplugging the system, removing the base cover and disconnecting the battery from the mainboard.  Hold the power button for 30 sec.

Reassemble and see if the system will then power up.

If it won't, you can try an external monitor (or a screen test) to see if that works.  To access the screen test, hold D through powerup.

Hi, thank you for your response!

I did the first part and the computer turned on automatically when I opened the laptop before pressing on. The Dell logo is displayed on the screen before turning black again but keyboards are lit. Laptop is not working yet.

I did the screen test and all the colors showed on the screen.

It's time to consider whether the cost of a mainboard replacement is something you want to pursue.
