I have had my XPS for barely 3 weeks and the other day I pinched the bottom right of the frame of the screen to turn the laptop so show someone my screen and as I turned it the side of the screen went black. Is this just going to be an simple screen repair? How much is this going to cost?

Power on holding the D key. That will initiate a set of screen self-tests. If you still see the same fault, the display assembly needs to be replaced -- for FHD, they run about $250; for UHD, $350 or so.
