Xps 13 pro

I had noticed my XPS 13 Pro was getting hot, evidently it got so hot it ruined my hard drive. It’s only 2 years old and I use it for office work strictly. I now have to pay $500 to repair it because of known issue of the laptop is known to get hot, I guess I didn’t think it would get hot enough to fry hardware components.

There's no real way to know if heat was the cause of the drive's demise, but you can get a top-quality 4T NVMe SSD for just over $200 -- there's no way it's a $500 repair unless you're paying someone to reload the OS and restore your data.

I assume that the repair is simply replacing the SSD. If that's indeed the case, there's no way that would need to cost $500. It's simply a matter of removing the backplate, replacing the SSD, put the backplate back on, and reinstall Windows.
Also, how did the heat ruin your hard drive (SSD I assume)? It would have to be scorching for a long, long time for this affect anything.
