XPS 15 9500 USB Issue

Hello, I have an XPS 15 9500 that I am having issues keeping connected to my peripheral devices (USB-A multi-port, Extended monitor via HDMI) using the USB-C device that came with the laptop. I have seen other people bring up similar issues on this forum however, mine doesn't heat up, it just starts losing connection then re-establishing connection, losing connection then re-establishing connection.......... . I have tried other devices to see if that is the cause and it does the same thing. When I first use it at the beginning of the day it works well for about 30 minutes, then it starts this nonsense and doesn't stop. Anyone have any idea what it could be? Thanks much.
