XPS 15 9500 WiFi Issues
I have owned my XPS 15 since august 2020, and the killer wifi has occasionally cut out during short periods of time and gave me issues.
But since a week ago, any wifi network I connect to will not give me more than 2 mbps/second. However, any other device connected to the network can use its full bandwidth. I have tried three different networks in different areas, but that doesn't have any effect. I also tried deleting and reinstalling the most recent wifi drivers from the dell website to no avail.
It's frustrating that the wifi card is soldered onto the motherboard on this model, as it would be a pretty easy switch otherwise.
Interestingly, the only network this laptop will fully utilize is the personal hotspot from my phone.

First, ensure all the Drivers are up to date & Check

this is not a solution!!!
dell 9500 with killer 6 ax500 dbs it does not work with hitron 4582u.
a small tp link wifi adapter works fine - but not dell 9500 with killer 6 ax500 dbs.
dell must test with hitron 4582u - and provide a proper solution.
support assist is not signalling any problems - all installed ok - but does not work . no internet connection.

same for me ,
does not work with Hitron CODA -4582U.
a small TP link WIFI adapter works fine but this Dell 9500 with killer 6 ax500 dbs

it works hotspot with phones - as apple, samsung, motorola - but does not work with hitron 4582u.
I had tried changing settings in hitron 4582u - but nothing worked for the dell 9500 ax500

I fix computers for a living and after hours of trying pretty much every different fix available here and online including eight different drivers as well as REG edit and GP edit settings, nothing was working. Internet was still unstable and wonky at best. Unfortunately on the XPS 15 9500 that passed through my workshop, the WiFi card is soldered so swapping it out with a different and possibly stronger card wasn't an option.
This ended up being my work around so I made a quick video. Hopefully this helps someone who has tried all the other fixes available with no luck. 🤞 I disabled the internal WiFi card. Internet is stable and working well now with no further issues.

The TP-Link low profile USB WiFi adapter I used was a 300Mbps version but they do make stronger ones that are 600Mbps and up if desired. I tried to see if any company makes a USB Type-C WiFi adapter but unfortunately they don't. It's not often I hit a brick wall like this where every attempted fix just doesn't pan out, but hopefully this helps someone get their WiFi up and running again. 🙏
