XPS 15 9560 Does everyone have a problem with charging

I've seen quite a few posts that suggest that something is wrong with the way the XPS 9560 charges ( or rather, doesn't charge ). I have a XPS 15 9560 that I purchased about 18 months ago. While it was still under warranty, I started having problems with it being plugged in, and the battery would reach 10% and still not charge. I contacted Dell, who sent me a new charger. No better. They sent out a technician, who swapped out the power jack in the laptop. Again, no change. Finally, the technician came back and replaced the entire motherboard. This seemed to fix the problem, until last month ( just under a year since the repairs were completed ). I am now having the same problems. Battery power hits critical level and the charger icon says "plugged in, not charging". I've tried checking for updated drivers and BIOS; uninstalled the ACPI- Compliant Control Method Battery, and rediscovered it. I've blown out the connector with air. Sometimes, it will begin charging. Sometimes it won't. I've ended up charging with a USB-C 45 watt power supply ( obviously, that's not an adequate solution ).

If it was just me, and all this happened after my warranty ended, I'd chalk it up to bad luck for me, but it looks like this IS A COMMON problem. I'd be more than willing to pay for a new power supply, but I don't think that will resolve the problem. The battery charges, via USB-C, so the battery must be OK. Is there a valid solution to this, or do I need to buy another laptop ( and it won't be a Dell, if this type of thing can't be resolved. ) Ideas?

Yes, same exact issue. Noticed this has occurred shortly after the warranty period.

Any update / fix for this issue? I too have replaced the charger after a technician (under warranty) diagnosed the old charger as the issue. Unfortunately it wasn't. My gut feel is the small plug that fits into the computer charging socket is 'loose' and with some fiddling you can get the charger to work ok.

Most charging sockets are tight or click together with some strength but this one remains loose and i have to be very careful it doesn't pull out.

Is yours like that too?

Thanks

I purchased this laptop in 2017 at Costco so I had a year extended warranty. within a month of purchasing it, I started having the problem with the charger. They first send me a new charger and it worked, so I thought there was an issue with the charger and didn't worry much. Then, again after a few months the charger stopped charging the laptop. They send a technician and the guy changed the port, again the issue was solved for a few months. Again after some months, they had to send someone to change the port, but this time, within a few days they needed to change the motherboard. After changing the motherboard, my laptop ran fine for about 6,7 months and again the same problem with the charging problem started. They changed the port again, and this time my warranty with dell was about to expire. Again after a few months, the problem started and Costco technician fixed it. Now, I don,t have any warranty and my laptop doesn't charge. This laptop has some internal issues with charging.
