XPS 15 9560, randomly shuts down, #2
Hello, I had a recent issue when I was using my laptop and it just shut down for no reason. While trying to boot it up again nothing happens. The power button does not do anything, the battery indicator does not show anything and if the AC is on a buzzing sound occurs (the same happens if I press/hold the power button). I have tried disconnecting the battery and hold the power button for 30 seconds, still the same. Is there a solution, that does not consist of sending the laptop for repair?

Generally, Dell laptops need to re-recognize a replacement battery in order to charge it properly. See my post here with links to the procedure. More or less, it involves booting the laptop once without a battery in it, on only A/C power. Seems this flags the laptop to re-detect the battery when it is replaced and booted the next time.

Didn't help. No lights, just a buzzing sound when AC is on or when I press the power button(or the battery indicator)

Try the steps at the following page. It could be a bad battery or ac adapter. Have you tried another adapter yet? Do you see any lights blinking or any beeps?

I have just founded the issue. For some reason when the wlan card is inserted the pc does not start, when I disconnect it, everything works perfectly. How this can be an issue I really don't know.

I just got the same problem. I thought it had to be battery as it stopped charging, the light would start blinking and one day it just went orange and that was it. I could only use laptop with the charger. I replaced the battery and it all seemed fine. The battery was charged correctly and when I unplugged the charger, the laptop did not shut down. But then, when the battery reached 70%, the laptop shut down on its own. And to reboot it I had to plug the charger back in. Pressing the Start button did not work. That was yesterday. Today the same thing happened again. This time at 81% charge. Again I had to plug in the charger to restart the laptop.
What may be the cause? Is it that error in bios that was recently talked about? Is there a fix for this issue?
