XPS 15 9570, Intel UHD 630 driver failed to update

Intel UHD 630 P630 driver persistently fails to update on my XPS 9570. The same problem has been reported on the Alienware board. Does anyone have a solution?

Here is another solution that worked for me, I copied this from another forum member......…

"The easiest way to update the Intel UHD Graphics 630 driver is to download the install package from Dell, for your specific model. Then launch the installer, which will prompt you to -Install- or -Extract-. Choose the -Extract- button, because -Install- will fail just like in the SupportAssist app. Put the extracted files on a drive or folder of your choice.

Then right-click the Windows button in the bottom left and go to Device Manager. Expand -Display adapters- and right-click on Intel UHD Graphics 630, and select -Update driver-. Browse to the location you extracted the driver package to, and select the -Graphics- folder. Your UHD Graphics 630 will be successfully updated.

But, you're not finished yet. Launch the Dell SupportAssist app, which will still show the update for the Intel UHD Graphics 630. Hit the -Install- button and let it download and install the driver, which it will do successfully this time, after which it will prompt you to reboot.

Nobody seems to have tried to download it and install it manually but if you do you get this:

Dell needs to fix the installer. If you install the drivers manually (ie. through Device Manager as highlighted above) it works. So the drivers are not the issue. The installer is.

Tried it with the standalone driver "Intel-UHD-Graphics-630-P630_MYY4X_WIN_23.20.16.5037_A01.EXE" install still fails with the error message:

Might be a simple issue with the certificate in the driver being unsigned or just one line of text missing describing the model?

Works for me also! Dell SupportAssist was now able to install the Intel UHD Graphics 630 update flawlessly.

However, I still have the following error message in Reliability Monitor, every time when I reboot the XPS 15 9570:

Thanks everyone for the tips on resolving the driver installation issue - they worked for me.

However, I've had similar experiences to the one noted above with errors in my event viewer every time I reboot:

1) "IntelAudioService stopped working" error message appears in my event viewer every time I reboot

2) Session "RtcPalVideoEtwSession" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022"

3) Session "Cloud Files Diagnostic Event Listener" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022"

4) Session "Circular Kernel Context Logger" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000188

5) The Bluetooth driver expected an HCI event with a certain size but did not receive it.

6) The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

None of these reboots were forced or otherwise unexpected. Not sure why these errors appear repeatedly...

Had the same issue with my Precision 5530.

Wasn't having any problems, but it was annoying.

Mawanda's fix (above) worked perfectly.

I have exactly the same error messages when I reboot my XPS 15 9570.

I am considering to do a clean Windows 10 Signature Installation as soon as the new Windows 10 October 2018 Update is available using the Media Creation Tool.

I simply cannot understand why Dell is putting a Windows 10 image on this machine that is generating so many error messages in both the Event Log and the Reliability Monitor.

I can confirm that RLBur's suggestion worked perfectly. I tried the other suggestion, but it was too advanced for my limited knowledge and I was worried I was going to remove something important using the 3rd party program. This was an easy fix.

I for one will not bother to update the graphics drivers unless I have problems with the currently installed drivers. This is nothing new, especially where SupportAssist app is concerned: I've had numerous problems with various Dell laptops when attempting to run SupportAssist and its suite of tests. In one case, I had to manually completely remove SupportAssist and all references to SupportAssist in the Registry in order to resolve persistent problems.

I hope that, sooner or later, Dell will get serious about fixing long-standing problems with SupportAssist and its installation processes.

Hi all

It seems the driver is not related to Model Dell G5 5587

The Dell representative pointed this out to me. (I have a 4K laptop)

This also applies to Nvidia driver.
