XPS 15-????, heating up only when charging, even when off

NOTE: Tried to go to authorized dell repair shops and they aren't much use. I have yet to find a trusted repair shop.

Quite weird. my laptop heats up a bit when I attempt to charge it. Specifically around the part where the battery connects to the board. This happens ONLY when I charge even if it is turned completely off.

Any ideas where to inspect potential damage? I have a accidentally spilled a half full glass of water in this machine and fortunately only caused minimal light corrosion. I already cleaned most of it but I got to be weary since there this problem.

I found that the 3r3 Inductor (I believe is what it's called), heats up the most. or probably the only one that heats up. I understand the it should heat up with those kinds of temperatures but I don't think it's normal when turned off.
