XPS 15 Intel Iris XE graphics bug - color profile issue

Hi

I purchased an XPS 15 9520 (32GB ram) in Oct 2022.

My primary use for it is to edit photography content and thus added new color sRGB color profile's as the default "414D" profile is washed out with poorly vibrant colors. Around December 22 the color profile would switch from sRGB to 414D when plugged in and I was unable to change this in the "system -> display -> brightness & color -> color profile tab". In Feb 22 I became unable to change color profile's and the device was "stuck" on 414D.

A software company suspected an Intel Iris XE bug and thus disabled the adapter which fixed the color profile issue; ie the option to change the profile now returned in the display tabs in windows 11 settings. Unfortunately this created issues and I was unable to change the screen brightness or add in a 2nd display.

After more investigation I tried downloading and installing the oldest & latest Intel Arc Iris XE graphics driver from their website
(https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/726609/749673/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-whql-windows.html)

Versions = 31.0.101.3490 (oldest) and 31.0.101.4255 (latest).

Both times after installing these driver updates the problem has reoccurred; ie the color profile tab in the display settings has disappeared and the display color has gone back to the washed out look of the 414D profile.

I'm at a loss as to how to proceed forward.. has anyone else experienced similar issues? Should I consider just reinstalling the whole operating system?

Kindest regards and many thanks for your expert suggestions.

Wes
