XPS 17 9700, Which Intel Graphics Driver does Dell Recommend? / Freezing issues
I'm having some random freezing issues... not too crazy, just occasionally the cursor will freeze for about 3 to 5 seconds.
When this happens there doesn't seem to be any processes lagging the processor, so I'm not really sure what the issue is.
It happens occasionally throughout the day, hasn't been too obtrussive yet, just a bit strange.
So was thinking of updating the Intel Graphics Driver.
When I go to Intel's site, they say that even though there is an updated driver, they recommend the OEM one that Dell installs.
A few questions for Dell:
1. Which driver does Dell recommend, the most updated general driver, or Dell's OEM driver?
2. How can I find out what is causing my system to hang for a few seconds randomly?

You must use Dell's driver because it is customized by Dell for your exact motherboard.. Look for another cause for the freezing.
Laptop drivers rarely almost never get updated. If drivers ever have an update, it must come from Dell.
