XPS 9315 - Integrated camera not working, help appreciated.
I recently did a windows update and since ive noticed the integrated camera doesnt work, it doesnt appear as a device in the apps like teams, camera etc.
Details in device manager:
Camera Sensor OV01a (flagged)
This device is currently waiting on another device or set of devices to start. (Code 51)
Dependencies:
ACPI\INTC1095\5&1d3aa91a&0
ACPI\INTC1097\0
Intel(R) Visual Sensing Controller Device
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
I have tried rebooting, checking bios that its activated, tried new drivers it worked for a few mins then same thing have also tried earlier BIOS.
Also, i have noticed that the camera works with Windows Hello face recognition
Appreciated your input in how to rectify

Similar issue was affected those with XPS 13 plus 9320 after Microsoft updates. See if their resolution can offer remedy to your issue. Review this thread https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/xps/xps-13-plus-9320-webcam-not-working/65319b8b3a8e0b64ea481535

Same issue here with my XPS 9315.
the built-in camera does NOT work after the latest Bios update.
Worst, it makes Windows Hello crash (blue screen) , so every single time now I have to reboot my computer and input manually passwords.
the fix for the 9320 does NOT fix the issue on the 9315 - how come this issue isn't fixed yet ? been going for a month now here .. (Dell, please wake up)

Same issue here. Have you found any solution already? I have tried every means, including reinstall windows 11 and update to the latest driver. Not working at all. The hardware scanning has indicated that my camera sensor and the driver are having issue, but don't know how to fix that. Please lmk if you find anything that works out for your computer.

I am having the same problem with my XPS 9315. None of the suggestions I found in forums work. Can Dell support post a solution for this problem or is there not any solution yet?

Same issue for me. I hadn't used my camera in a while and just realized today that it's not working. And of course my premium support just ran out 2 weeks ago. Has anyone found a solution? Has Dell acknowledged this issue?

Hello,
I just bought Dell XPS 13 9315 i5 16Gb 512Gb Windows 11 Home, I have the same issues when I installed all updates and drivers from Dell website, the bios version is 1.18.0, the affected devices are Integrated Camera ( not the infrared camera) and the microphone.

If you read this, please make sure to click "I have this problem too" on the main post. I think that's the only way anyone from Dell pays attention to these. I tried @Chino de Oro suggestion at that link and it didn't help. No updated compatible driver has been released for the 9315.

I have the same issue with my Dell XPS 9315. Dell replaced my camera thinking that was the issue, but it is still not working. I am currently waiting on an update.

@DELL-Nat M - Hi! I noticed you helped people out in a similar thread with the 9320 camera not working. Any chance you could help get some eyes on this one? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

@tolen31781 Hi!
Yes, I escalated this last week, and the new driver is now available.
Could you please install it and let us know if this resolves the issue?
