XPS 9710, touchpad issues

Has anybody else had an issue with the trackpad touchpad of the 2021 17" XPS 9710 malfunctioning? Pretty much right out of the box the touchpad would skip, phantom click, stop working, etc., and this occurs even in the BIOS screen. I started a case with support, but wanted to check in to see if this has been an issue for anybody else.
