XPS M2010 resurrection
I have reworked my GPU and got 2 m2010's working, with win 10 on ssd. I am having trouble with sound and can not link the keyboard. Amazingly one of the M2010 batteries and both keyboards have good batteries. I have started a group on fbook search m2010 owners group. If you have any information and can help, or need help please join and or post here.

Has anyone figured out how to get the onboard speakers on a M2010 working with win 10? That's the last hurdle I have

I have 2 XPS M2010's, both have the dreaded GPU issue. I reworked one of the GPU's to 400c after masking with kapton tape, twice for 40 seconds and let cool. I now have a working XPS M2020 with win 10 on ssd, even got the keyboard to link but can not get sound out of the speakers. Has anyone figured out what driver to use for sound? I even found the original mouse, remote, all discs and the XPS mousepad DELL gave for this massively overpriced portable desktop. Getting sound working would be a bonus. I was able to get them both working for a short while, but one has gone BSOD even with the reworked GPU. I have tried changing the battery, reseating ram, with and without ssd or hdd, no life out of it yet. I found a switch yesterday by the battery that I 'think' may be to reset cmos, will try it when I get some time. I have also started an XPS M2010 group on fbook if anyone wants to join. Anyone else still running the ironman computer?

I also recently got my m2010 mostly working. I have win 10 installed and I don’t remember having to install a specific driver to get the sound working.
if you have any leads to a replacement keyboard , let me know! I have a non working keyboard and I have to connect a usb keyboard for me to type. Also I tried looking up the Facebook m2010 group you created but I could not find it.

I do have a 2nd working keyboard, but am a little hesitant to sell it as I have 2 2010's. I have the 2nd video card out to get reworked just have not crossed paths with the guy again

@x2nervisx it is odd, the speakers 'bump' on startup like every other computer, but no output other than bluetooth. I have tried everything I can think of, which isn't a lot to be honest

@x2nervisx no lights, nothing? Try taking the battery out, reinstalling and hit the sync button then try to rejoin the keyboard through bluetooth. You have to enter a code on the keyboard

Heh.. I live in Bulgaria (that's in Eastern Europe) and recently bought one unit m2010 from a Romanian guy. I was told that the video card is faulty, but it turned out he didn't send me a video card at all!
Now I am desperately looking for one, even in non-working condition. Have friends who can repair it.
Any clues where to get it from?
One single time I saw someone selling these in ebay but the bid was over and the cards were sold (a lot of 5 non-working ones)
Best regards

@moni67 Hello- that is so bad, I do have an extra but I have a full M2010, just has a little rougher monitor. I will keep my eyes open, if I find one I will let you know. Reworking the chip works great
