XPS15 power button problems
Hi, I recently bought an XPS15 9570 and from day 1, the power button has been somewhat dodgy. More than 50% of the time, when I press it to turn laptop on, the keyboard backlight lights up, but there is no other response. Have to really press it hard to get the laptop to wake up and for screen to turn on.
And occasionally, the laptop will wake up, then the screen shuts off and doesn't respond to anything until I long press the power button and it asks me if I want to shut down.

Considering that you recently purchased the system, and the nature of the problem, I would call Dell tech support for your area assuming the system is under warranty. That could be a motherboard problem and something the warranty should cover but tech support can help you out with that.
