About me
Director Partner Services programs EMC/Data General for some 25 years in a variety of job roles and technologies I started with Data General as a field Service Engineer up in the North of Scotland. While the job was fun supporting some of the oil companies and whiskey distillery the work was limited. Moved to London n 1998 as a Senior field engineer supporting large accounts. As the hardware technology became more modular i moved into the PS group as a Unix consultant on DG/UX. Then as Windows NT was released into the Microsoft area being involved in large scale MS infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe. I relocated to the USA in 1999 with Data General into the Microsoft Enterprise Practice doing some of the beta sites for Windows 2000 and active directory. Then with the EMC purchased in 2000 I moved in the BC practice working on distance clusters and SRDF scripting. In 2001 I worked in the service development group defining some of the standard templates and tools that now make up the TS kits. In 2003 I worked in the new solutions group focused on BC solutions and developed the new solutions for backup to disk with ATA disks. In 2005 I moved into the Global products practice as the CLARiiON Global Practice Manager for TIS and supported the field wi the th the roll out of the CX3 and CX4 platforms. Developing the CLARiiON champions program over the last few years. In October 2008 I moved into the Channel group as this seems a key area to focus my time and assist with the development and support of EMC partners.
