Some time ago I was given a May 2014 Alienware 17 R1 laptop by an employer who had and then lost a government contract. They didn't want any of their computer equipment back and literally gave each employee the laptop they were using. Mine sat around for awhile and I just recently plugged it back it. First it did seven beeps and the screen remained black. I unplugged everything and then plugged the power back in. Now it won't do anything -- no beeps, no power, nothing.

My question is -- since I can't even turn it on, is there a way to find out what the laptop configuration is (memory, video card, etc.)? If it's not what I'm looking for I won't even bother to troubleshoot the issue.
