I have to migrate a windows SMB share that is 4.5TB to CIFS, and ideally would like to use filesystems smaller than 4.5TB. Is it possibe for a CIFS share to span multiple filesystems, and if so how can this be achieved.

For example, if the four directories immediately benneath the share only required 1TB each, could more manageable 1TB filesystems be targeted at the share..??
