I purchased the DELL product R13 on April 6 and they promised me it would arrive on April 19, without any surprise the order was delayed. The new delivery date is May 3, but I know it will be delayed and I will be leaving Canada in May, so that means I will not be able to receive the product I purchased. it is really disappointing that DELL is using a false receipt date to deceive customers into spending money when they know they don't have enough capacity to produce the product. This is both disappointing and ridiculous. Also, after I contacted the supervisor, I was promised that I would receive the product today, April 22nd, yet it did not even enter the production line. It has become the norm for you to constantly lie to consumers and mislead customers into placing orders with false information. And every time I contact the customer support is just the same computer general reply, really very disappointed, this will be the last time I use DELL.
What's even more ridiculous is that I was promised from the day before that I would hear from a supervisor within two to four hours, and today there is nothing but an email that will not be answered no matter how I send it.
After I read most of the posts related to delays, I found that this actually started happening two years ago, is it really shortage or something else ......
Well I cant speak for the experience you had while contacting support but I can say that the most likely reason for the delay in production would be a lack of storage drives and shipping materials or at least that's what I've been told. I almost have the same timeframe as you in regards to ordering, Ordered-4/10 Estimated Delivery- 4/26. Still hasn't entered production as of 4/23. All I can say is I wish you the best of luck with your order.
Exact same situation here bro, R13 ordered on April 6th, two delay emails and now the new delivery date is May 11th. I have been connecting the customer support for the last five days, they are repeating themselves like a robot, and they also promised me a call from the supervisor which I never receive. Hope we all can get the product on May 11th, and also this is my last time purchasing products from dell. If you want to be happy, stay away from this company.
I have an order made April 2, shipped april 12, and now it's disappeared. Purolator doesn't have it and Dell says it's shipped.
I have another order made April 9, build complete April 11, and it's just stuck in build complete now.
I should have read this forum before I made my purchase of 2 Alienware x15 R1s....I would definitely have just bought an Asus ROG Strix instead of having to deal with shipping delays.
Hope you will get your order on May 6th, because what I know is that Dell is good at sending delay emails, I already got two or three of them, and my friends is getting the final one at a two month delay. best luck, never trust this company.
Could someone enlighten me on the whole purpose of Dell-Care??? They asked me to contact them in order to resolve the issue with the delay. All they did was:
1. Try to teach me how to track the shipment. Are you kidding me????? I've been looking at the never changes shipment status since April 6th!
2. Let me know that:
For this current order, we are looking at a revised estimated delivery date of May 07, 2022.
However, there may be delays due to the lockdown
So, now it's 7th, not 6th, plus it may be delayed indefinitely!
Buying Dell appears to be one of the stupidest decision I've made...
