Hi,

I am writing to ask about the compatibility of Windows 11 with my Dell Precision T7910 Workstation. I am currently running Windows 10 Professional on this machine.

When I tried to install Windows 11 on my T7910 I got the message that my CPU was not compatible. My T7910 has the following configuration:

Does anyone know:

1. If Windows 11 will ever be compatible with this CPU?
2. Which if any of the CPU’s installable in the T7910 are compatible with Windows 11?
3. Is there any pressing reason to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11?
4. Is there a workaround to get Windows 11 to run on a T7910 with my Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2637 v3 3.50GHz processor

The higher grade T7910 CPUs still seem very pricey while the cost of a verybare bones T7910 seems to be about $600 or so. It doesn’t seem sensible to spend a few thousand dollars to upgrade a 2016 desktop processor just to use Windows 11. For a few thousand dollars I could probably get a 2022/2023 machine as good or even better than my T7910. At least all my hard drives could be put in it. No?

Am I missing something? Or are the hardware/software manufacturers again?
