We use Ghost software to image our desktops, so normally we install Windows 7 on MBR partitions so we can use the ghost software. But the new Dell OptiPlex 9020 desktops came with 8.1 installed on GPT partitions.
If we delete the Dell partitions we won't be able to install windows 7 ("Windows cannot install required files" error). My question is, does Dell have some kind of tools to create MBR partitions needed for installing Windows 7?
(If we keep the Dell GPT partitions there is no problem in installing Windows 7)
Glad to hear you got it resolved. In the future, if you're interested in capturing and restoring a UEFI image - Dell released Image Assist last year which supports both Legacy MBR and GPT UEFI images. You can download it at www.dell.com/ImageAssist.
