Hope someone can help with this quick query.

I have 3 storage pools, all RAID 10 SAS with mulitple volumes on each. If I were to merge the pools, is this an immediate action or does it copy all the volumes first? Just thinking of time frames really. I'm not expecting a time frame btw as you dont know my set up just if it takes time or its immediate.
