82°C bad for laptop??

Hi there! I have a used dell latitude e6430 with an i7 3540m 4GB DDR3 ram Intel4000 integrated graphics(I guess) 230 GB Hitachi SATA HDD....I've been using it for over a year now its pretty stable with everything. However last day I tried installing AC Rogue in it just to check if it works n it worked just fine no lag rarely stutters....BUT...after a while I noticed....umm really hot air from the vent n temps spiked up to 82°C with 80% ram usage.....I want to know what'll happen if I keep using it like this....would it melt the CPU or decrease it's life span.....or what if I increase ram to 8GB? Would I notice any difference???

It may be OK. You'd have to research it. The die limit is 105.

    Intel Core i7 Specs

I'd be concerned for other portions of the laptop with it running hot for sustained periods.

You might look to see if there are options for running the game which would allow the CPU/GPU to run cooler. How does the game work with Turbo Boost disabled?

Make sure the fan is clean and there is no obstructions.

Don't use your laptop with it sitting on a soft surface such as a blanket, pillow, sofa.

I did search and got all sorts of mixed answers some saying its bad at 80+ degrees some saying its absolutely fine......also I disabled turbo boost which lowers the temps about 5-6 degrees. The game runs great with or without turbo boost aaaand the laptop is placed on a PC Panel tho I haven't cleaned the fans....I'll try that as well
