My wife's Inspiron  15  5510  had one of the silicon landing pads broken out  , however "dell service" rejected to cover it under warranty .

Obviously this is  due to a design flaw or material issues  as I could see many similar issues  across different models also , which suggests that.

Further , Dell claimed this is an  accidental damage but not sure how they defined it as no evidence of scratches other damaged etc.. in the area , unless Dell think some one take a tool and specifically broke it ??? (  this laptop was mostly on the table  , even rarely take out from home) 

This happened with in one year warranty  period  .

Most annoying thing is sharp plastic part  now scratching my table top ,  very ashamed how dell simply get away with pushing the responsibility while customer suffer damages to the other expensive furniture due to this poorly made product 

I always used dell since 1997 and bought dells for family members , when I purchase this laptop my wife wanted a   Lenovo but i was boasting how good is dell quality which is ashamed
