well, this is more of a rant than a question or discussion:

I don't know about the rest of you, but I would find it extremely useful, if Dell offered their BIOS software in formats OTHER than Windows executables which (on top of that) require Win7 or newer to be handled. Well, at least I didn't find a way of updating my BIOS other than getting a Win7 rescue disk.

*** is the idea behind that? It's not very customer-friendly, to say the least. Especially since Dell used to sell their computers with preinstalled *buntu-Systems for some time.
