Reformat Everything

Hi All Ok fedora has messed up my partitions, now i cant boot from XP CD as it doesnt recognise partitions or something like that. How can i format everything to something windows will understand ? (FAT 32??) I just need to use something like fdisk, but how do i get to it as i can only boot into linux ?? Seriously annoying me now

    Changing partitions on your hard drive cannot possibly effect your ability to boot the Windows XP CD. Check your BIOS to make sure you are booting from CD before hard dive. You will be able to delete the linux partitions (they'll probably show up as an unknown type, but that shouldn't affect your ability to delete them). Also note that you can't format a partition while you're running the operation system stored on it.

    It is highly unlikely that Fedora messed up your partitions on its own. Download a trial version of Partition Magic or something similar. Burn, boot, format, reinstall windows. Good Luck. There are many other ways to skin this cat.

    The problem is that apparently Windows XP cannot read a Linux partition, and therefore cannot delete it. Anything decent like partition magic will work, as there's no actual problem with the partition layout. The problem is in Windows.
