i7-980X Processor Upgrade ...

If I purchase an i7-980X Processor through Dell Parts and Services for my Alienware Aurora, will it be supported under the original warranty?

So if I have a CPU problem, I'll need to deal with Intel? Yuck.

I guess I could eBay my current rig and buy a new one. :)

Nope. The CPU will have it's own warranty.

The CPU bought from Dell spare parts has a 90 day warranty with us. After 90, then you deal with Intel.
