I 'gently' installed memory in a friends Dimension 2400(which came through with 128 mb ram-unbelievable). When I tried to boot up, there was no power to the machine.

A friend who builds pcs said the harness I nudged aside was defective (one of the male/female connections which was barely touching became dislodged and it wasn't reasonable to try to repair it as the p-s only cost $50). With the new p-s all went well.

Any comments about his assessment?
