I have been reading posts for two days, and so far I have not seen this problem crop up.

 

I have been having trouble hooking up my tv to my computer. 

The instructions say I can either use the s-video jacks or the composite cables to hook up a set top box to the tuner card on pc.  When I tried to use the s-vid nothing happened, so I used the other kind of cables.  I got the the signal to come through to the computer just fine.  However, when I try to hook up the tv to the s-vid out of my video card, nothing happens either.  Do I have two faulty s-video jacks or am I missing a step somewhere? 

 I should mention that my tv does NOT have a s-vid jack, so I had to use the s-vid from my pc to a converter box, then a coaxil from box to tv.  That did not work either, so I had to split the satellite cable--so I have tv on my tv--but it doesn't go through the computer.  So basically, I can record tv and watch it on my monitor, but not on my tv.
