Hi,

The second one is Codeblocks w/openwatcom 1.4, also I don't know if the problem is sortware or hardware related:smileyindifferent: I hope I wasn't to much:manhappy:.

Try disabling the fast boot option in the BIOS and see if it helps.

:smileysad:Well I did that and the same thing happened, now it's stuck on the blinking curser:manindifferent: now I'm currently useing a backup computer, I put the setting back on the factory settings. I'll try to scrape up $149 so that it can be serviced by Dell.

when it locks during boot, check the status of the 4 diagnostic lights on the front panel...

What USB devices do you have plugged in?  Have you tried booting with only the keyboard and mouse?

I had exactly the same problem this morning on my new XPS600 and found the answer in the linked thread.

I tried the disable Fast Boot option first and that didn't solve it. Then I changed the USB to NOBOOT and Bingo! It flew in right away and has been fin e ever since.

Sci-Fi fan - try the USB No Boot option in the BIOS.

I'll try that in the morning, but what about my IDE's not working? #Develop and Codeblocks and several programs I got?
