Ok this has been posted in both the XP and Virus section, and I was refered to this board, because someone thought it might be a corrupt video card and I might have to reinstall it. Below is my problem. Anyone know how to do this or how to fix it?

Over the past week or so, sometimes when I have a window open on my desk top and then proceed to move it around or drag it, I can see where the window has been dragged in the back ground (like a trail of where the window started and where it moved to). Then i cannot access my desktop and the icons on it after this happens. I have tired running Norton, but this doesnt solve the problem, and I am getting really frustrated because the only way it seems to go away is if i restart me computer, but then like clockwork it will happen again. Someone please help!
