8600 screen flashing
i have an 8600 with NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 and WUXGA display. sometimes when scrolling through IE pages or acrobat pages or changing between open windows the whole screen will flash or flash and look as though it is split vertically. this is just a momentary thing, but it is very annoying. the screen is great in every other way. i have upgraded drivers and this made no difference. any help would be appreciated.

- Try to see if this same thing occurs on firefox. If it doesnt then it is a sign from god saying its time to get a browser that works.
http://www.moox.ws/files/mozilla/firefox/releases/MozillaFirefox_1_0_1_PREVIEW_RELEASE_M3.exe
Download that, double click to extract to desktop. Throw it in your program files folder, create a shortcut on your desktop and run it. See if it solves your problems.
This is a optimized version of firefox done by "moox", this is one of the best out there so give it a go. seventyseven

Hi all,
This sounds very much like the screen flicker problem that I had posted earlier here:
http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_video&message.id=119077
I have since found a solution (in the same thread). It's not perfect - when you're running off of batteries, you'll still encounter this problem if you've got power saving features activated. However, the problem will go away if you're running off of AC AND if you've implemented the solution I indicate in my post.
Hope this helps.
