I have XPS Inspiron 1530, and today I have read that nVidia graphics cards 8400 and 8600 installed into laptops have problem with overheating, which could destroy the laptop completly.

Does it consider also XPS 1530 (model with 2.0GHz clock, 5400rpm 160GB HDD, 8600GT)? Where is the list of Dell laptops which could be "infected"?

I have heard about patch I can apply to turn the fan earlier but I can't find it - can anyone help?
