Help!!! CPU always 100%

Help I am loosing My Mind

The Fan is almost always running on my machine and it is always hot this seems strange.

The CPU is almost always at 100%

I can not acess Adobe Reader and I have reinstalled the program.

things freeze up on the screen and seem to partially get stuck there for a while.

I have tried everything I know,

I Have done a virus scan with McAfee and no virus detected

I have done a spyware scan with adaware and just a few tracking cookies found

I have done a defrag anda disk reconfiguration and removed any programs not being used

I have plenty of memory available

What can I do

start>run> type msconfig and click ok

general tab click on selective startup. uncheck the process system.ini, process win.in and load startup items. click apply then close and restart the computer.

when you restart will get a message saying that you have used the system configuration utilty click the checkbox that says don't show this message again then click ok and check if still cpu usage @ 100%

Before you start messing with msconfig, go to Start/Run and enter 'taskmgr'  After it starts, select the 'processes' tab and find what process(es) is(are) consuming your processor.  After you determine this, then you can figure out what's wrong and what's needed to correct it.
